COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT
As a former victim of spousal abuse, the founder of our company has dedicated her life to breaking the horrible cycle of domestic violence. Overcoming countless sufferings has inspired her to help and empower as many victims as possible. Consequently a portion of ALL of our sales will be dedicated to The Family Justice Center, (FJC), a frontlines organization in the fight against domestic violence that she volunteers with. Located in Buffalo, NY, the FJC fights to help victims of domestic violence reclaim their lives and heal. Their work is highly effective.
WHAT IS DOMESTIC VIOLENCE?
A pattern of intentional, coercive behaviors that may include verbal, physical, sexual, financial and/or emotional abuse. Domestic violence is all about power and control. These behaviors are directed against current or former spouses/partners, parents, children, or any family member, in order to satisfy a twisted craving for power and control.

In the United States, battering is the major cause of injury to women aged 14 - 45, causing more injuries than auto accidents, muggings, and rapes combined.
Of all female victims of homicides in the US, 30% are killed by husbands or boyfriends, a total of almost 1,400 women each year. In contrast, 4% of men are killed by partners.
30% of Americans say they know a woman who has been physically abused by her husband or boyfriend in the past year.
